Ingredients:
| ½ cup | Minute Rice |
| ½ cup | Apple Slices, or leftover apple peelings from making apple pie |
| Whole Almonds | |
Directions:
Bring 1 cup of water to boil. Add 1/2 cup apple slices or peels and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove pot from burner and stir in 1/2 cup of rice. Cover and let stand according to rice package instructions. When the rice has absorbed the water, it is ready. Pour into dish and add almonds for crunch, protein, and flavor.
