Bird Bath Planting....
I have to come up with something to keep whatever is digging out of my bird bath planting...destroyed again. ...things will never take hold if they can't root...I will have to keep an eye on it but early morning when I am busy is a hard time and I think that is when it is doing it...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm chipmunk or birds??? If I find something they don't like...maybe sprinkle some garlic or onion in it....Sherry8

Be careful in the garden stores!
We have already had a robin fly at us a couple years ago when we were looking at trees....it had built a nest in one of the trees for sale....the poor thing would have to follow its nest when someone bought it.

Chickadees checking a bird house out...
I have a robins nest that I had just noticed at the end of last week....she seems to fly away alot when we use our front door or walk in the front yard. I hope we don't upset her too much but our driveway is in the front. She made her nest under the over-hang and where the downspouts come together. It is a pretty good spot out of the weather but it should get very hot there.....I had to come in the house, another neighbor is having their lawn sprayed with chemicals so I close up the windows and the doors and bring the dogs in. I will finish planting flowers later after the smell is gone. The smell is just too strong for me and I don't want to get sick when the smell drifts over this way....Sherry8

Garden stuff
If my garden turns out okay, I will both share it and can some up for later. It was big when my boys were growing up, and not quite so big now. My 3 boys ate like a small army when they were growing up. It gets very hot here in the summer, so I must start the garden early if I want to get anything done. Other people have gardens far ahead of mine. I STILL have not finished the fence around my garden. I am trying to get my son to cut some of the cedars for fence posts. I do not want Goldie eating all of my hard work. I want some watermelons this summer.
Some of my activity is because I am hyperactive, and cannot tolerate just sitting around all day. I do take naps when I get a chance to do so. That is probably two weeks worth of work up there, not just a day or two. It took two days just to make the dog house. I am NOT a carpenter, and making something akin to a box for the dogs is a ton of work for me. I guess I manage okay, his old doghouse lasted about 7 years, and I built it too. I make them out of scraps of whatever wood and stuff I happen to have laying around. Some of it is just plain necessity.
I bought 2 4-packs of tomatoes, and there were 13 plants in them. I did not separate them though, it would have harmed the plants too much. I am tired out.

In my yard 4/26
Karlinann, I hope your spider bite is better now. I got one on my eye once in my sleep a long time ago, and I went to the doctor to be sure it was not a brown recluse bite. Half my face swelled up with it, and I had to get a shot.
I have used plain aloe vera gel near my eyes at times. It helps with swelling and puffiness too. That was after my broken nose to help the bruising heal.
