Hawk

Today I saw about 25 to 30 robins at one time in my backyard.  They were eating worms and I was eating lunch.  This afternoon I saw a huge hawk overhead and he was flying low.

I transplanted Verbena, Trailing Petunias, Snapdragons and Golden Creeping Jenny.  Oh, and some Viola's.  I also moved the concrete stoop that was outside the back door.  It took me forever to do that job.  I used a thick board for a fulcrum to thrust it around and pivot it in a different direction.  I didn't want it right outside the door, but over to the side.  That sucker was so heavy and I'm worn out.

I've never seen that many robins at one time either.  That must have been a wonderful site.  And the hawk - wow!  You have a great view of nature in your own yard.

Thank you Sherry for the good morning and the sweet little mouse picture.  Unfortunately I did overdo, but that's my Swiss/German engineering kicking in.  I will take it easy today for sure.

Yes, those Robins really were phenomenal.  I am almost 61 and I've never witnessed that before.  I think they are eating the berries from those trees in the backyard.  I don't know what kind of trees they are, but the berries are ripe now and all over the ground.  ?. Anyway, I've got plenty of bird action here and it's nice to see them.

Have a great day Sherry.  I really love your posts.  They always inspire and come with a pretty picture most of the time.  You rock.

Karlinann...I don't think I have ever seen that many robins here...I haven't seen a robin all winter here, usually we have  a few that stop in. But with that eagle soaring in our sky and the hawks, not much of anything has been at the feeders...I set my camera up so I could take a few pictures and only a small chickadee grabbed a peanut and was off into the bushes.

I hope you are not too sore from moving that stoop...you did move it the right way it sounds like....Sherry8
