  • Smart Dessert Choices

It is hard to come up with healthy desserts.

I have served dishes of fruit but some people consider that a salad.

I think part of the problem is the size of dessert portions - it is hard to just eat one cookie or a small piece of cake or pie when it is sooooooooooo good!

    Isn't chocolate  a vegetable?  devil

  • Ground beef or Ground turkey?

I've found if I'm making a big batch of something I'll mix turkey and beef. It's healthier and the taste isn't as shocking to people who are expecting it to taste like beef.

Sherry, that is a great idea.  Thanks!  I don't leave the racks in the oven either.

  • What Do You Put In Your Salads?

I've been big on Greek inspired salads lately. I don't follow a recipe, but just wing it. Romaine, tomato, cucumber, red onion, feta cheese and chickpeas and kalamata olives if I have them on hand. Yum!

  • Eating Healthy in the New Year

Sherry, milk chocolate is my favorite but I am learning to eat dark.  It isn't as sweet, that's for sure.

We always have apples, bananas, grapes, etc. It is good to have something to nibble.  Lately we've also had some yummy oranges.

Do you keep the veggies cut up?  I try to but sometimes they seem to dry out.
