Pasta With Ground Turkey and Yogurt with Garlic Sauce

A yogurt and garlic sauce is spooned atop cooked pasta, and topped with a cooked ground turkey mixture that contains mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, Anaheim peppers and red pepper flakes.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce package any kind of pasta
  • 1 pound ground turkey (or other ground meat)
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 8-ounce package mushrooms, sliced
  • Several cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 2 Anaheim peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • Olive oil (or butter)
  • Salt, pepper, any kind of spices
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Method

Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, you can start to get all the ingredients ready. Put 2 Tbsp olive oil in a large pan and cook onion, long hot pepper, crushed red pepper, salt and black pepper; stir them until they are mixed and cook until onion is not crunchy. Add some minced garlic; stir. Add ground turkey. Saute until turkey is cooked. Add mushrooms and continue to cook all the ingredients. Add tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir 1/4 cup of the hot pasta water into the pan. Cover and cook on low heat about 5 minutes. Stir together 2 cups yogurt with 1 tsp. salt and 5 cloves of minced garlic in a bowl. Finally, in a serving plate put the pasta first and on top of it put the yogurt with garlic sauce, and then add the ground turkey mixture. For garnish add some chopped parsley.

 

Notes: All the measurements are changeable to your taste...
