Method

Peheat oven to 300 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients except candy. Spread mixture on a large baking sheet or roasting pan. Bake 20 minutes, stirring halfway through, or until mixture is crispy and golden. Cool and add candy. Store mix in an airtight container.

Notes: I have an Uncle who lives along the gorgeous Lake Tahoe. It's a great place to take a morning hike and absorb the breathtaking surroundings. What better food item to take with you than a trail mix. Makes 6 servings, about 3/4 cup each. If you don't like raisins or cranberries, use your favorite dried fruit. If you leave out the candy, this mix is wonderful stirred into yogurt. You could add mini-cookies, chopped granola bars, or bite sized crackers with peanut butter filling instead of candy.

Number of Servings: 8-10
