Looking for a healthy snack alternative? These bars are loaded with good things--whole wheat flour, wheat germ, oats and dried cranberries.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 10 X 13 inch baking pan. In a large bowl combine butter, brown sugar, egg substitute, almond extract and vanilla then blend well. Add oats and flours, stirring until well mixed. Stir in cranberries, pecans and chocolate chips. Spread mixture evenly in baking pan and sprinkle with wheat germ. Bake 25 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack before cutting. Slice into 32 small bars. Store in cookie jar.
