Turkey Burgers

Need a healthy dinner alternative? Try these flavorful burgers made with ground turkey, red pepper, onion and Worcestershire sauce.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey (1/2 dark, 1/2 light)
  • 4 tbsp Italian parsley, chopped
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup roasted red pepper, diced
  • 4 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs (add just enough to assist with forming patties, might be less)
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 4 tbsp onion, chopped fine
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

Method

Mix all ingredients together and chill in refrigerator 45 minutes to 1 hour. Form into patties and grill about 5-6 minutes on each side or until meat thermometer reaches 160 degrees.

 

Notes: You could also prepare in a loaf pan to make a meatloaf.

 

Number of Servings: 4- 5 turkey burgers
