Turkeys in a Blanket

Turkey sausage links are wrapped in "blanket" of puff pastry, baked, and served with pesto sauce.
 

Ingredients

  • 4 gourmet turkey sausage links (I like the one with basil)
  • 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, defrosted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1/2 cup store-bought pesto sauce

Method

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Cut puff pastry into four equal size squares. Wrap each sausage in a square (it is okay for the ends of the sausage to stick out). Lay on a baking sheet. Mix egg and water to make an egg wash and brush pastry with egg. Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly and slice each sausage roll into 3 pieces on a slant. Serve with pesto sauce.
